Amerisource Bergen Corp. is an American pharmaceutical company, one of the leaders in the production and distribution of pharmaceuticals, the supply of medicines for the long-term care of patients, as well as the provision of health services in the USA and Canada. It was formed in 2001 as a result of the merger of Amerisource and Bergen. Acquiring the US Bioservices Corporation in December 2002, ABC entered the market for vaccines, anti-cancer drugs, and blood products. In 2003, Anderson Packaging Inc., one of the US leaders in the packaging market, was acquired.
